PROJECT WE
Role - Strategy & Art Direction
we create. we collaborate. we include.
We initiated a mission to promote inclusivity through a new product line featuring diverse artists, strategically aligned with cultural moments throughout the year. My role encompassed conceptualizing the project, collaborating with artists to craft a compelling promotional video, working closely with internal teams on social media content creation, and overseeing the design of emails and website elements. The goal was to emphasize inclusivity and create a distinct brand presence across various platforms.
To celebrate Black History Month by extending the We inclusivity narrative into Black History Month content, and to announce our artist tee collaboration with Reyna Noriega.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS: WHAT BLACK HISTORY MONTH MEANS, RIGHT NOW
We went out to some of our employees, our friends, our talent, and our community and asking a simple question, with a not-so-simple answer: in this time of social upheaval & elevated racial awareness, what does Black History Month mean to you, right now? We presented these POVs alongside portraits of our respondents, to feel very personal & impactful, and will run these in social and in digital all month long.
THE POWER OF WORDS
Reyna is a fabulous visual artist, but did you know she’s also a published writer? For this Black History Month, we'll take a cue from Reyna & use the power of words — hers, ours, our friends’, our communities’ — to get a personal perspective from our extended Old Navy family on their Black experience & Black History Month as it exists right now.
